DIRECTIONS TO THE WIGHTMAN SCHOOL COMMUNITY BUILDING
From the Northeast:
(Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, I-80)
From I-80, take route 28 South from Brookville, Jefferson County. Take route
28 to the Highland Park Bridge, (from I-80 to the bridge is approximately
2-3 hours). Stay in left lane on bridge. As you cloverleaf back under the
bridge, stay in right lane to bear right at first intersection (Washington
Boulevard). Follow this Road to the Penn Avenue Intersection where Washington
Boulevard becomes 5th Avenue (Mellon Park will be on your right side as you
pass through this intersection. Follow 5th Avenue 1/2 mile to Shady Avenue,
turn left. Go to Wilkins Avenue, turn right. Go to South Negley Avenue, turn
left. One block up is Solway Street, turn right. The building is on your left.
From West/ Southwest
(Airport, I-79N from West Virginia)
From Airport and I-79N to Pittsburgh, follow I-279N to Pittsburgh going through
the Fort Pitt Tunnel. After Tunnel, follow I-376E toward Monroeville. Go to
the Squirrel Hill Exit (Exit 5) before tunnel. While exiting, stay in the
left lane, turning on the first left onto Forward Avenue. At first light (5-way)
bear left onto Murray Avenue uphill past the business district. Follow Murray
Avenue to Solway Street (one block from the end of Murray Avenue). Turn left
onto Solway Street and go two blocks. The building is on your left.
From North/ Northwest:
(Ohio, Erie, PA Turnpike)
Take I-79S towards Pittsburgh. Once you can see Downtown, look for I-579/Veteran's
Bridge. Follow to I-376E toward Monroeville. Go to the Squirrel Hill Exit
(Exit 5) before tunnel. While exiting, stay in the left lane, turning on the
first left onto Forward Avenue. At first light (5-way) bear left onto Murray
Avenue uphill past the business district. Follow Murray Avenue to Solway Street

From East/Southeast:
(Philadelphia, PA Turnpike)
Take Exit 6 of PA Turnpike (Pittsburgh) to I-376W toward Pittsburgh. Go to
Squirrel Hill Exit (Exit 5) immediately after Squirrel Hill Tunnel. After
exiting and cloverleafing back over 376, stay in left lane, turning on the
first left onto Forward Avenue. At first light (5-way) bear left onto Murray
Avenue uphill past the business district. Follow Murray Avenue to Solway Street
(one block from the end of Murray Avenue). Turn left onto Solway Street and
go two blocks. The building is on your left.
